Terms of Service
Last updated: August 25, 2026
These Terms of Service and End User Licence Agreement are between you and VALD MWAGHALI MALUSHA, the operator of Mento in Kenya. By creating an account or using Mento, you agree to them.
The service
Mento provides AI-assisted learning, chat, image analysis, and an optional Live Tutor avatar. AI output may be incomplete or incorrect and must not be treated as professional medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice.
Accounts and acceptable use
You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for your account and for keeping sign-in credentials secure. Do not misuse the service, evade limits, interfere with other users, upload unlawful or infringing content, reverse engineer protected systems, attempt to extract confidential prompts or credentials, or use Mento to harm others.
Subscriptions and purchases
Android subscriptions and top-ups are sold through Google Play and are subject to Google Play billing terms. Prices and renewal details are shown before confirmation. Subscriptions renew until cancelled in Google Play. Consumable Live Tutor top-ups are credited only after server verification. Refunds are handled under Google Play policy and may revoke the related entitlement.
Content and licenses
You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant Mento a limited license to process it solely to operate, secure, and improve the requested service. Mento software, branding, and original service content remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
Availability and termination
Features may change and third-party AI or avatar services may occasionally be unavailable. Mento may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse, security attacks, or material violations of these terms. You may stop using Mento and delete your account at any time.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Mento is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on AI output or interruptions outside its reasonable control. Consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
Licence and app-store terms
Mento grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Android app for lawful personal learning. You may not redistribute, resell, or create unauthorized derivative versions of the app. Google is not responsible for operating or supporting Mento.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. Please contact Mento first so a dispute can be addressed informally.
